Place, Commissioning & Assets Implementation

Overview

We focus on commercial development that supports places, looking at how Government investment in social and economic infrastructure, private sector investment in buildings, and regeneration of towns and cities, are planned and delivered to serve communities. The group is made up of a range of participants from across the sector who are keen to collaborate and share intelligence on current market conditions, innovations, and trends in activity to promote a strategic response. We seek to promote interventions to stimulate demand and construction activity, investment in innovation, reducing the sector’s carbon footprint, and supporting planning services, and building industry capability for the future.

Objectives

Liaising with the CLC infrastructure client workstream.
Co-ordinate effort across the industry.
Focus on implementation and feedback within place-making, commissioning and asset management disciplines.
Directly influence other areas of importance across CLC and Government.

Responding to the Government’s Infrastructure Levy consultation in collaboration with the Housing workstream
Promoting the private sector construction playbook
Considering policies and sector best practice that supports Net Zero
Working with the Building Safety workstream to develop industry capability
