Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) – National Regulator
The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) is responsible for the national regulation of construction products.
Independent Review of the Construction Product Testing Regime
The Independent Review of the Construction Product Testing Regime was announced by government in April 2021 and was led by Paul Morrell OBE and Anneliese Day KC. The purpose of the Review was to identify any potential weaknesses in the system and to make recommendations for improvement. The report was published in April 2023.
Construction Products Association (CPA) Guidance
The Construction Products Association (CPA) is a UK construction industry trade association. It represents and champions manufacturers and suppliers of construction products. CPA are a member of the CLC.
Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI)
The Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI), has been developed following wide industry consultation and aims to ensure that the information provided on construction products is Clear, Accurate, Up-to-date, Accessible and Unambiguous.
Construction Products Competence
Everyone using or otherwise working with construction products should be competent and can demonstrate their competence to others. This forms part of the work of the Competence Steering Group (CSG), Working Group 12 – Construction Products Competence.
