Place, Commissioning and Assets Implementation

The Construction Leadership Council held an engaging open session exploring the evolving ‘Place’ agenda and the role of clients in shaping better outcomes for the built environment.

The session featured insights from Amy Harhoff, Chief Executive of the East Midlands Combined County Authority, who discussed how the public sector is driving place-based growth, and Linda Stevens, Head of Client Development at the CIOB, who introduced the new CIOB Client Guide.

With an introduction from Mark Robinson, Chair of the Building & Places Workstream, the session also provided an overview of the CLC’s 2026 Action Plan and its priorities for the year ahead.

It was open to all public sector colleagues and construction industry professionals and it was good to hear from sector leaders who contributed to shaping the future of construction and place.
