Higher-Risk Buildings (Keeping and Provision of Information etc.) (England) Regulations 2023

On Tuesday 17 October the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) laid the Higher-Risk Buildings (Keeping and Provision of Information etc.) (England) Regulations 2023.

These Regulations set out the golden thread information that the people responsible for an occupied higher-risk building need to keep, and what information they need to provide to others including residents of the building.

In occupation, higher-risk buildings are high-rise residential buildings which are 18 metres or more in height, or at least seven storeys.

DLUHC consulted on these proposals last summer. Alongside the Regulations, the Government response to the consultation has also been published.

The Regulations can be found here.
