Madeleine Coman

Madeleine is the Construction Leadership Council’s Young Ambassador for the Building Safety workstream, appointed February 2023. With a background in engineering, Madeleine’s business experience spans Australia and the UK working both within industry across construction, engineering, and energy sectors, as well as providing professional services that enable organisational growth for enterprises in the forementioned sectors, plus others. A key thread across these experiences is the interaction and engagement with several Government departments to drive industry growth and change.  At Laing O’Rourke, Madeleine has held roles developing the strategy and supporting transformation initiatives for its European business.

Madeleine’s role as the CLC Young Ambassador for the Building Safety workstream involves:

• Providing input into and influencing CLC policy development;
• Providing input into the CLC’s Building Safety communications strategy and its execution plan;
• Management of discrete projects to develop tools and platforms for information sharing across industry – aimed to drive clarity, awareness, collaboration, culture change and action; and
• Communicating to wider audiences and professional networks on building safety key messages
