Eligibility for Transitional Arrangements – Building Control

The Building Safety Regulator (BSR) is the Building Control Authority for Higher-Risk Buildings (HRBs) and has published a reminder to the construction industry on the deadline for the transitional arrangements for building control approval.

These transitional arrangements allow projects to stay under the current building control regime – and avoid transfer to the BSR. Doing this ensures that eligible projects stay under the old rules.

Developers must take the required steps for their projects to qualify by 6 April 2024.
