The British Standards Institution is seeking views on the draft PAS 9980 Fire risk appraisal and assessment of external wall construction of existing blocks of flats – Code of practice.
This PAS gives recommendations on:
a) Whether or not buildings are likely to require a fire risk appraisal of external walls (FRAEW); and
b) Guidance on undertaking an FRAEW of an existing multistorey, multi-occupied residential building.
The deadline for comments is Friday 6 June.
