The Health and Safety Executive in its capacity as the Building Safety Regulator (BSR), with support from the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) as the national regulator for construction products and the Construction Leadership Council (CLC), ran a series of free building safety webinars from November 2023 to April 2024.
The objectives of the webinar series were to deliver accurate, clear and helpful information on the key changes to the building safety landscape and drive awareness, understanding and action across the construction industry and broader built environment.
The webinars covered the following areas:
• Fundamentals of the new building safety regime;
• The new higher-risk buildings regime – design and construction – fundamentals for designers and contractors;
• Competence;
• The golden thread of information for higher-risk buildings;
• The role of construction products in building safety; and
• Building safety – ask your questions.

In addition to the webinars, the BSR held its second building safety conference on 21 May 2024. The conference provided a platform for industry leaders, regulators and resident representatives to discuss the ongoing transformation of the building safety landscape.
