No Falls Week:18th-22nd May

Falls from height continue to be the most common cause of fatal accidents to construction workers in Great Britain.

HSE’s construction industry statistics show that falls from height were the cause of over half (53%) of construction worker fatalities in 2024 to 2025.

The No Falls Foundation is running its annual No Falls Week, promoting safe working at height. Campaign resources are available via the No Falls Week website, along with the campaign press release.

A recent HSE prosecution following a fatal fall from height highlights the importance of effective controls.

Visit HSE’s website for more guidance and information on working at height.
