The Construction Leadership Council has recently published two important reports through its RMI workstream, addressing workforce readiness, skills and standards across the domestic repair, maintenance, and improvement (RMI) sector.
CSMB RMI Skills Working Group (WG4)
The CSMB RMI Skills Working Group has published a new set of reports providing a comprehensive, evidence-led assessment of workforce capacity, skills pathways and delivery readiness across the domestic RMI sector.
Drawing on evidence from industry, training providers, consumer bodies and delivery organisations, the reports examine the conditions required to support workforce growth at scale. They are published in the context of the Government’s Warm Homes Plan, highlighting where implementation risks remain and where targeted intervention will be needed to ensure ambition is matched by delivery capability.
Published outputs include:
- CSMB RMI Skills Evidence Summary (2025–26)
- CSMB RMI Skills Executive Summary
- CSMB RMI Skills Policy Pillar Context Note
