Mike Chaldecott

General Delegate and Regional CEO, Saint-Gobain UK and Ireland

Mike Chaldecott is General Delegate of Saint-Gobain in the UK & Ireland and Regional CEO for Saint-Gobain’s Construction Products businesses. In this role Mike acts as Chairman to Saint-Gobain’s 34 UK & Ireland businesses spanning, 17,000 people, £3.5billion turnover, 1,100 retail branches and 45 construction materials manufacturing facilities.

Mike has 32 years’ experience working for Saint-Gobain in its gypsum and insulation activities and has held a number of operational and general management roles in the UK, Ireland, France and Poland.

Mike was Managing Director for British Gypsum, a Saint-Gobain business, from 2008 – 2016 having previously been Regional Managing Director, Eastern Europe, responsible for the group’s gypsum and insulation businesses in Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. He was prior to that Managing Director for the global BPB Formula business based in Paris, and General Manager for the Isover insulation joint venture in the UK.

Mike holds a Degree in Engineering and an MBA. He is an active fundraiser, Patron and Trustee of the Construction Industry’s charity for the homeless and hospices, CRASH.
